Greetings all,
Acer Aspire 5000, shuts down after about 5-10 minutes of use, faster with high CPU apps. Tried running Memtest from bootable CD, but this also shuts it down after about 5 minutes. Ran SpeedFan, system goes from 35-70 degrees Celsius and then dies.

Have opened up most components of system and can find ANY dust, but I cannot figure out how to open the area where the CPU fan is. Acer refuses to send a schematic or documentation. Any suggestions on how I can check this? I can feel hot air being blown out from this fan, so I believe the fan itself is working.

What else might I be missing?
