When ever I click into a folder from windows explorer, I get a popup dialog. If I select "no" from the dialog I will be opening the internet explorer and be at page: http://free-viruscan...id/4912933/4/1/ with the title "IE AntiVirus". Please help!

Hello vision2000, my name is fenzodahl512 and welcome to Geekstogo..

Please have a read at this topic and do all the preliminary steps given.

If you are using Windows Vista, or if you are using XP and already have Service Pack 1a or later, please ignore Step Three: Windows Updates and continue with Step Four: Reboot - Test

It should handle about 70% of your malware problem.. Should the problem still exist, please post a fresh HijackThis log here as shown in the Step Five: Posting a Hijack This Log.. Thank you :)

Regards

Dear fenzodahl512, thanks for the basic instructions. I did preparation and step 1 Scan for Spyware/Adware, after running Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, the virus symptom was gone! I am still completing all the steps, but at this point I am happy with the result. Thank you very much! Let me know if you are still interested to see hijack log after I finished all the steps.

Well, if you insist and still have problems with your computer.. You can post your HijackThis log here.. If you feel your computer problem is solved, you are good to go :)
