Hi,

I have always been able to use CMD.exe on my personal pc (Sony Vaio PCV 1) until I tried to use it tonight.... now no matter what I try and run (ipconfig, ping) I get "Access is denied".

Any idea's as to what to check...?

I am running XP MCE.

Thanks,

Please check the rights on the file c:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe.

Right click on it goto properties, secutiry, check if the user IUSR_xyz has rights to it or not. if not provide it

that might solve you issue.
