hey everybody, i got this device a few months ago and it had been working correctly. recently i tried to burn some cds and dvds but now the device is not detecting any cds or dvds. i tried unplugging it from usb port and replugging the device back in but that didnt work. could the device simply just malfunctioned even after a few months time or do you think that something like spyware might have caused the burner to stop working. i am not really sure whats going on, i am at wits end, i dont want to have to go and buy a new device since this one cause me over a 100 dollars. the same thing started happening to my built in cd burner drive in my computer, might there be a registry issue? any help would be appreciated

thanks
