iTunes installs with Quicktime but I can't install quicktime due to the following (registry) error:

"Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\QuickTimePl
ayerLib.QuickTimePlayerApp\CLSID. Verify that you
have sufficient access to that key, or contact your
support personnel."

This appears to be a registry issue. I've removed and attempted to reinstall a few times to no avail. I then located this file in the registry using regedit command and attempted to delete the folder but got the following error:

"Cannot delete QuickTimePlayerLib.QuiTimePlayerApp: Error while deleting key."

This renders my ipod useless...............I need to fix this error or find a version of iTunes that does not include QuickTime.

Please advise........

Thanks

Hello,

Try using Revo Uninstaller to remove Quicktime.

http://www.revouninstaller.com/

It will also remove the Registry Entries as well.

Cheers,
Mak
