My daughter has this "Trojan-spy.Smitfraud.Html.C" on her computer. She can not access the internet to download anything. And I can not see a way to run adaware or the other programs from a CD. She got epest, but it does not do anything, neither does. I used msconfig to unload all the start up programs, (and she has probably a 100 spyware/adware entries there. Since I cannot download anything on her computer, how do I start? I am fairly computer literate, but this on has me stumped. HELP!

thanks,

I originally posted a question on the 28th and still no response. I have managed to remove trojan-spy.smitfraud, and restore internet access; however there is a file loaded when I look in task manager that I can not delete. It just reappears. When I delete it in safe mode and in the registry as well it just reappears with a different name. I have been able to run adaware and spybot in safe mode. What ever is running keeps me from running any antivirus program, or an online scan. Any ideas on how to circumvent this?

Thanks,
