I have not used Puppy, but you can take a look at the /boot/grub/menu.lst to see what it is set to boot. Also, make sure that the boot partition is the one selected for booting.

Did you install grub on the boot block?

I looked at that and it looks fine to me.

Did you install grub on the boot block?

I installed it on the same hard drive as Puppy and used the MBR(Master Boot Record) option. Here is a link that I used to install it.

I would think that Grub didn't load to the MBR. If you saw the warning that it could be unsafe and didn't install to the MBR. Since this is a single use machine be sure Grub is installed to the MBR.

I chose the MBR option to install it there. Is there anyway to see if it did install there? Or should I just clear the Hard Drive again and re-install it and see if that fixes the problem?

Hello

Just wanted to let you know somehow I got Puppy to boot up fine now. I cleared the hard drive and reinstalled it a few times but same thing each time(would not boot). So this time I cleared the Hard Drive with Parted Magic and then booted up the Puppy Live CD and tryed Gparted and it worked this time. So went ahead and set the hard drive up and then installed Puppy and now every thing works.
