I'm new here, just joined last night in my efforts to help my dad out with what seems to be a nasty virus akin to the one stated in RBOT-ZW scmss.exe -service windows login logon logoff immediately [CLO, Windows 2000 Pro login immediately logs off. Never subscribed to a place like this before , so please bear with me while I trip and fall and embarrass myself. I'm really impressed by everyone's politeness and knowledge! Thanks to Tal especially for your reply to that topic. I did the steps mentioned in the reply but get stuck on the line that reads cd system~1\_resto~1. I always get the error "The system cannot find the file or directory specified." When I do a dir on the system~1 directory, I don't see any files that resemble _resto~1. Can anyone help? Thanks!
