WHEN MY MODEM IS PLUGGED IN MY COMPUTER CONTINUOUSLY RESTRATS ITSELF. IF I UNPLUG MY MODEM IT WORKS NORMAL. WHEN I START UP IN SAFE MODE IT WON'T SHUT IT SELF DOWN AND IT ALLOWS ME TO USE THE INTERNET. THIS MODEM USED TO BE FINE AND ANOTHER COMPUTER IN THE HOUSE IS RUNNING OFF IT. THE MODEM WORKS ALONE AND THE COMPUTER WORKS ALONE BUT TOGETHER IT DOESN'T.

Hi and Welcome,

It sounds like a compatibility issue, might want to check out this link to make sure your modem is compatible with XP.

Windows XP HCL List -- Hardware

Under Networking and Modems select what you need and search for your modem, see if its listed. If it is, then its probably a driver issue. :tazz:

Also, could you please turn off caps lock. Makes your post hard to read. ;)
