Data Recovery from a CD-R in Windows 2000

Calling all computer techno angels!!! Please help. I run an Invoice Program which is called My Invoices. I backed it up on a CD-R last night wit my Nero Ahead program. Thank God! Today, the Invoice program has lost almost all its data. The back-up program in the computer has too. I don't know how to restore the data from my CD-R. I put it in and it did run and momentarily restored the data. I said Hallelujah and closed the Invoice program saving the supposedly "saved" info and when I opened it again it was corrupte again. I am not very computer savy as you can see. Please does anyone give me the steps to take for restoring my lost data from the CD-R.

Welcome to geeks to go.

Since you were able to restore the data 1 time already on a temporary basis, I suspect you did it properly. I suspect now that the program is corrupt and should be reinstalled.
