My internet connection appears to randomly go down while I'm using it. I've contacted my internet provider and they are working on seeing what the problem is and fixing it. However, is there a possibility that some sort of malware could cause this? Just wondering...

Yes there is. If you think, you have malware infection, have it checked by the experts. If you have malware that affects you Internet connection, fixes made by your ISP may be rendered useless. It's best to fix an uninfected computer. :)

Hm... Yes, thanks. I've posted a log a while ago and we're trying to see what'll happen. My ISP said the most likely reason for the disconnections is the modem, but even with a new modem, it's still disconnecting... My ISP said that the wall jack is fine, so that leaves... the computer. :/
