Kaspresky Internet Security
McAffee Internet Security
Avg Internet Security
Zonealarm Internet Security
just a few to mention but i would recommend Avg free version & Zone Alarm Firewall Free version , i used them for years and never had any trouble
but now im trying out Kaspersky and its looking good

ZoneAlarm has a known issue with a recent windows update where it will cause you to lose connection, I would wait with installing that until the bug is fixed.
For a free antivirus program I recommend AntiVir.
For a free firewall I would go with Comodo.
For a paid suite I would go with NOD32.

ESET Smart Security (makers of NOD32) is about the best around right now, IMHO.

Thanks for the input. I've been researching for the last two days and I was leaning toward NOD32. I've found an article that listed one con and that was that it wasn't very user-friendly for "non-computer types". As the laptop is for my 18 year old daughter (starting college), I was a little worried. We'll see how it goes though since I think that is the one I'm going to go with. Thanks again everyone!
