I recently got a window 2000 laptop. How do I install internet to it?

Does this laptop have a modem? A network connector (RJ-45, looks like a big phone line connector)? Have you checked in device manager for network drivers or tcp/ip drivers. Usually if you are connecting to the internet by a network connection you ISP can walk you thru the setup.

It has an Airlink 101 802.11g wireless cardbus adapter awlc3026. too bad i don't know how to use it

Well, you could always read the user manual for it, and even download the drivers and install them. It does wonders to help setup a connection. The 3026 can use the 3025 manual for basic adapter info.

Now you will still need a wireless router of some kind. If you do not have a wireless router you are wasting your time trying to connect a wireless adapter to a regular modem or wired network router. For that you need something like this.
