Can any one here help me out? I caught a virus about 3 weeks ago, one of the moderators here helped me successfully removal the virus.

But, ever since the removal I have been unable to connect to my remote desktop connection. I am ONLY trying to connect on the same network (home laptop to home office CPU).

I'm not even trying to connect outside of my home.

Has anyone else experienced this? I have tried almost everything... It really sucks because I love to finish my work laying in the bed... connected to my CPU.

Ok I figgured it out... I had tried everything except for trying to log into RDC from the computer that I was trying to connect to.

I knew it was a firewall issue that I was having so I created another account in windows pro, and then RDC to that account on the same machine.

Then I was able to see the firewall alert that appeared and I was able to allow access. I had manually went into the firewall to allow access but for some reason that wasn't working.

Just thought I'd update ya'll
