Had to rebuild my Compaq Presario C500 (32 bit Home Basic) from the System Recovery CD. Everything seemed to load up ok but now with each startup I get to the desktop screen and then after about a minute computer automatically logs itself off and reboots. Seems to be hung up in a consistent one minute reboot loop. I can startup in safe mode and all is stable. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need to turn off the auto reboot so you can read what the bluescreen says. Post what it says here so we can look up the problem.

How to turn off Auto Reboot in XP

In SAFE MODE
Right click on My Computer
Select Properties
Select the Advanced Tab->Startup & Recovery section
Select the Settings button
uncheck "Automatically restart" Apply".

This will give you a blue screen with the error message rather than rebooting the computer.
