Hello!!

I seem to have the fun.xls.exe worm on one of my PCs it is not, however, connected to the internet. I don't know how it got there and I can't seem to find it on there so every time I transfer data on my memory sticks other virus scanners tell me they are infected... Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I appreciate the help :-)

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Regarding the memory sticks, just format them and that will kill all the bugs stored in them. Please follow Rorschach112 instructions but bear in mind that you don't have to connect to the internet to get infected. Moving memory sticks between computers can infect any computer, connected or not.
