So I downloaded Photoshop CS3, then something happened that I don't recall. After that, whenever I try to open a file, it won't work. For example, if I try to open Paint, the "What program to open with" comes up. That's the problem. Firefox ONLY works when I choose the "Recommended thing to choose", which is obviously Firefox. BUT, I can only open one window. If I try to open another, another tab comes up in the first window and it asks to download it..?

Please, I really need help. I'm stumped. It would be great if you know how this happened.
Thanks. :)
I'll be on these forums, waiting for a reply.

I'm not sure what is causing this, but perhaps you can try running a checkdisk:

Go to Start>Run.
Type in chkdsk /f and click enter.
If a window pops up asking if you want to do chkdsk at the next boot, type Y.
Reboot your computer.
