My laptop takes a long time to boot, expecially right after the post when it begins to load XP. It takes like 5 minutes just to get past the microsoft windows logo. I have tried several things to get it faster but they wont work. i have used several registry cleaners, I have defraged the hard disk, I have run disk cleanup, i even deleted all the files in the prefetch folder but it still doesn't help. I am suspecting a boot sector virus but i'm not sure. Any and all help is appreciated.
