im installing a new graphics card and the instrucions refer to "disabling on-board graphics from the motherboard" if the pc has it,how do i check if i have on-board graphics?
would this maybe be a connection wire from the old graphics card to the motherboard?

In many cases the onboard GPU will be automatically deactivated. If you are having any issues then you will have to disable it within the BIOS.
If you need to enter the BIOS, I can give you some vague instructions, but because I don't have your BIOS, I won't be able to give you anything clear as the BIOS for one motherboard is not the same as another motherboard.
