I have this computer:

I am trying to figure out how to record video of my PS2 games onto my computer. This computer has the ability to record Live TV and has inputs for A/V, but when you plug the red/white/yellow cables into the computer, the media center doesn't pick up a signal to display it. If I run it through a DVD box I can see it on the computer, but the controller input lags badly and you can't record it. I bought this computer purely to be able to record scenes from my PS2 for use in AMV making, but now I'm wondering if it has the capacity. Is there a way to accomplish this? Do I perhaps need different software to record from my PS2 directly?

Thanks in advance :)
