I know with wired networks you have to have a "hub" computer always on for the other two to work. Is it the same with wireless?

nope! i have a wireless network and as long as your modem and router has a seperate power supply and is not powered by your computer (via USB) then as long as you leave your modem and router plugged in and turned on, your other computers will be able to access the internet without having to have the "main" computer turned on (the computer connected to the telephone line)

hope this has helped
