Hi all, I have mrofinu.exe and some other nasties. I was working with A-Squared, but they are in the U.K. and I don't have the patience to wait until tomorrow for them to reply.

As per their instructions I installed: You can find their instructions here http://forum.emsisof...?g=posts&t=1930

Hijack This (already had that)
HiJack Free
A-Squared Free
ATF Cleaner
ExplorerXP
Pocket Killbox
ISeeYou

I followed their instructions to the last letter. Then they came back and told me to do Combfix. I ran that, posted all logs, but I'm still infected. Aside from F-disking, which I really don't want to do, I don't know what else to do. Can you please help?

Thank you,
Shy

Posting in multiple forums only wastes our time. One day won't kill you.

Shylai,

To expand a little on what Mike said, when we see that a person has made one or more different topics at other forums, we will automatically close the one that is newer, or the one that no help has been given to, yet. I assure you that we don't mean any disrespect towards you, and we have only the best intentions here. However, as you can seee this forum gets an amazing amount of traffic, and our resources are usually spread very thin, especially in the malware removal section.

Please also understand that everyone here is a volunteer, and we donate our time to help others because we like to do so. None of us get paid anything for the work we do here, so please understand that we can also get frustrated sometimes with things as well. I believe you to be an honest and good intentioned person, myself, but being a moderator on these forums you can also get some people that do blatantly disrespect the rules of this forum, and care nothing of other people's time.

If you would like to end your topic at the other forum, I'm sure that we could help you out here. Seeing as the other topic you have is farther along then the one you have here, though, I believe your best course of action would be to see that one through to the end. I'm opening this topic back up for you, so that you can answer either way, though. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to contact myself or Mike for further assistance.

Kind Regards,
RiP
