cpu hog (dont know the cause)

nope still isnt fixed. once the lag comes it just doesnt go away and the svchost.exe (Dcom launch) jus goes crazy.

Just put a link to this thread, so the Tech Team know what you've tried. Once we've ruled out Malware, and the problem still persists, this is the best course of action, as they may know things I don't :)
