How offten should i reapply thermal paste?

It's usually good for a few years, if for some reason you have to remove the heatsink and the paste looks dried up then replace the thermal paste (ensure you clean off the old ones first before applying).

ok it looks like im almost ready to buy. I just need to find a monitor mostly. I'll write down some models and try to find them at circuit city or best buy so i can see how they look :). I'll post my final build. Thanks kamille :)
