Trouble running DSS

I downloaded this DSS (Deckard’s System Scanner), but after it runs it opens Notepad and says “The system cannot find the path specified.” I am running XP. Any ideas on why I'm not getting a log file? dss.exe is saved to the desktop, where I run it from.
