hello, i "accidentaly" hehe, clicked and downloaded from a website link that i shouldn't have and it appeared on my screen that my privacy was in danger and that i should download a spyware or an antivirus to remove the problem. Soon after that a program installed itself into my computer and it was called antivirus xp 2008 which i knew was a virus. I was able to remove the program using killbox but the virus alert on the taskbar is still there. Also just now everything just disappeared on my screen and all i can see is the firefox which i had open and my wallpaper. everything works except that it says there's a virus. Please i would appreciate it if anyone could help

Hello, my name is fenzodahl512 and welcome to Geekstogo..

Please have a read at this topic and do all the preliminary steps given.

If you are using Windows Vista, or if you are using XP and already have Service Pack 1a or later, please ignore Step Three: Windows Updates and continue with Step Four: Reboot - Test

It should handle about 70% of your malware problem.. Should the problem still exist, please post a fresh HijackThis log here as shown in the Step Five: Posting a Hijack This Log.. Thank you :)

Regards
