I have been having problems with offline applications running very slowly. The problem has also spread over to internet speed even though I have high speed internet. About four months ago my pc became infected with the notorious tr vundo virus which BHowett of these forums helped me eliminate. After that I noticed the pc slowly begin performing as time progressed. The most obvious case is when I use my Itunes music program which lags and freezes freqeuntly. These same symptoms have now affected other offline and internet applications and programs. My OS is XP pro sp2.

OK here is were I am currently.

I have ran ATF cleaner in safe mode with no results.
I have ran AVG anti spyware program and found 56 infections but no results.
I have then ran the Kaspersky online scanner and found 3 infections. These are the results:

The PC is still slow especially on start up. It takes about 15 minutes for the startup cycle to complete. I have tried limiting the number of programs that launch on startup to combat this issue and am hopeful it will help. Like I have said bfore this issue is not just internet access it involves offline applications as well.

Iv tried running ccleaner and a number of other options I have seen in other threads. My next step will be to open up my CPU and clean out some of the dust bunnies that has built up. Any help would be appreciated.
