I downloaded a virus to my computer yesterday! :( [RESOLVED]

Here is the deal, I thought I was downloading a .Mp3 on this website, but it turned out to be a virus! My anti-virus alerts popped up but I still kept going for some reason! I cannot believe I did something SOOO stupid like that! So now I do not know what is on my PC!

Everytime I restart my computer my Desktop background gets replaced with a warning message that says this:

Warning! Spyware detected on your computer!

Warning! Win32/Adaware.Virtumonde Detected on your computer

Warning! Win32/Privacy Remover.M64 Detected on your computer

And then when I do not use my PC for not even five minutes, my computer screen turns blue with a LONG message stating:
There is a virus on your PC. your computer is going to restart to pervent any data loss. Please remove all installed new hardware etc. the message is to long to type it all here. But it is telling me something I did not do! I did not install a new piece of hardware. Can someone help me?

Hello MattCharles

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove,you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts,click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer,please do so immediatley.

I have done all the steps you have requested me to do. However in your links to download the Malware softwate, option 2 was a program called Registry Mechanic I guess I can take that out cause it cost money lol.

Oh ok, I kinda figured that. I will take it out of my system before I shut it down tonight.

I believe everything is back to normal. Does it look it down below? the speed seems to be back but I have to do a little more checking tonight, so I can let you know later on or tomorrow night if everything is back to normal.

Go to Start >Control Panel and then Add\Remove programs.
Then remove these items below:
Registry Mechanic
Viewpoint
Then reboot and delete these folders:
C:\Program Files\Registry Mechanic
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint

Then empty your recycle bin.
Let me know tommorow how it is.
Then we will wrap it up.

Everything seems to be back to normal! Actually my PC is running even faster then before lol. So "Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware" is my new best friend LOL. Do I have to purchase this product in order to keep it going? Also will this interfere with my anti-virus?

If I have any more problems do I make a new thread because I know you will be locking this, or do I PM you?

I do believe my PC is free from the virus now!

Malware bytes free version is just a stanaldone scanner.
You can purchase it for real time protection but no it only runs if you tell it to.
If you get infected again post a new thread.
IF you still feel like you have issues from this infection then pm me and I will re-open this thread again.
