Hi there folks,
I am having this issue with this infected file, and because it is a system file I can't disinfect it using Panda Active Scan. I would like some instruction as to how to remove it...
Also I'd like to ask whether the fact my net connection keeps crashing has anything to do with this infection, as I have called my net provider countless times and they never seem able to solve it (they came here and said the connection is fine, there is no problems whatsoever, that the problem might be with my pc.) Funny is that I can recover connection anytime just by pulling the net cable out and back in. Or disconnecting and reconecting thru Windows. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
Thanks a lot!! :-)

Hi dtakehana:)

Sorry about your wait time :) things are a little busy around here. I'm in training right now so I am posting under supervision, there may be a lag between my replies as they have to be checked before I say them to you :)

If you have already resolved this problem or are receiving help elsewhere please let us know so this topic can be closed :)

We need more information from you to be able to start helping. Please read and follow the directions in the You Must Read This Before Posting A Hijackthis Log thread. This will explain how to get and post your logs.

Hello, and thanks a lot for your attention.
I followed the instructions from the link you gave to me. In addition to that, i ran Panda Active Scan and that worm I mentioned wasn't detected. 42 infections were detected tho, but i can't remove it coz I don't have a subscription. I have the report of the infections, however.
My laptop is still quite slow at times, and the net conection is still crashing ( I called the company, they came here and checked everything, and they said it could be an issue with my machine. That otherwise everything was OK.) Then I read that this issue could be due to some infection, so here I am seeking for help.
Here's the log of my hijackthis. Thank you very much for your help.

Hi dtakehana, in the future when posting on malware removal sites, don't post a reply to your own topic before someone has answered you. Helpers look for topics that haven't been replied to. By replying to your own topic it marks the topic as having a reply so people will miss you :)

You have p2p sharing programs on your computer Emule, Soulseek and Bittorrent You should be uninstalling these. They are bad for your computer and very vulnerable to malware.

Also, are you in Brazil? Using virtua as your internet service provider? Just checking because some of your internet settings in your log use a Brazil IP address

There are a few things to do here. Please follow directions below.

Step 1: disable real time protection programs
While these programs are excellent tools for the safety of your system, they can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things. Please disable them for now following the directions below, they can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.

Windows Defender
  • Click start>all programs>Windows Defender
  • On the menu click "tools"
  • click "options"
