hi everyone, nice to join y'all. i am researching trying to repair a laptop myself. i know NOTHING. but i am trying anyway. here's what i have so far, possibly someone may be of assistance.
when turning on system i get "boot mngr missing"
when running a "system recovery" the unit used to freeze but now whips right thru it and restarts to "boot mngr missing" (it does tell me before running that the user partition is missing)
when i run memtest86 it freezes, sometimes it'll lock up while showing errors on the 2nd half of the screen but i can't get thru a full pass.
when i run drive fitness test it freezes. i got thru it once during a basic test and results were ok, but that took alot of trys and cannot get thru advanced test(freezes)
i am ready and willing to open her up and conduct surgery, please advise. it is a newer model unit. thanking you in advance for your help. d.
