unreal tournament 3 trouble(ugh)

ok i bought unreal 3 at wal-mart about a month ago and it hasnt worked since. i installed the game and that ran smoothly then when it got done, it tried to open the key regastration and closed instantly and gave me a microsoft has exprienced an error and has to close message. it wont tell me what went wrong just that it wont open can some 1 help?
