Ok I don't know where else to put this. On my hard drive there are over 90 hidden folders that look similar to ($NtUninstallKB885836$) and they are taking up around 900 MB. I was wondering what the were from and if it would be ok to remove them. Can any one give me any help here? I run a Windows XP operating system if that helps.

Hello rnl19862005,

The folders you inquire about are Windows Hotfix Updates.

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$
which reside in C:\windows (hidden folders) are Window Hot Fix Update folders/files)

They can be removed safely...However you want be able to uninstall the updates.
