I am having a heck of a time setting up a simple network to share files amongst 2 XP machines connected through my router. I have ran the Network Setup Wizard , turned off my firewall and have ensured that both machines are in the same workgroup. All accounts on both machines are also password protected, but neither machines show up in "My Network Places."
What else is there to do?

What about using the ip address of your computer you are trying to access: \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx?
