Ok so i go on newegg.com and buy this vid card: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814102715

I get it in about three days. I plug it in and then goto play CSS. So im playing then BAM! My screen goes black and my computer stops responding. BTW i have CCC 8.8 and the latest drivers.

So my brother is VERY smart with computer and thought that i might not be getting enough power. I had a 400w power supply. So then i go back to newegg.com and get this: http://www.newegg.co.....0Power Supply

In another three day i get that. So i try playing CSS AGAIN and im in like YAY it work... Spoke a little too soon in less then a min it crashes. So i know it isnt a power problem.

Then my brother had me get the omega drivers hoping that it would fix the problem. So then again i try and play a game BAM more crashing. He has done a lot of different stuff and nothing he has done works. Now now i am asking for your help. Any one have any ideas about how to get my vid card to run with out crashing???

My system specs!

Manufacturer: Emachines
Processor: AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3200+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2.5GB RAM
Hard Drive: 160 GB
Video Card: Sapphire HD 3850
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp.080413-2111)

Yes it did work perfect befor i got the new card. It is getting stuck in a infinite loop....
Other games: I have tryed HALO and it crashes in about 10 mins. I have try Gears of war and it crashes after 10 seconds. Assassins creed 10 seconds. CSS 10 seconds. Oblivion takes about 3 hours. Far cry 1 min. That is about all of the games i have tryed...

This is the error that i find in the event viewer:
The driver ati2dvag for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates.

Hope this helps!
