Hi guys, bit confused after my recent graphics card upgrade in preparation for Warhammer Online next week. I've put in a better graphics card and more powerful PSU, i did a system benchmark using NovaBench2 before and after and while my graphics performance has increased slightly, my CPU performance has decreased. results from the benchmarks are below:

i went from having Nvidia FX5200 to a Sapphire HD3850. I also upgraded my PSU from the original 300w to a OCZ StealthXStream 600w to power the new card.

With the old FX 5200
NovaBench Score: 146

This isn't a major problem but if im losing out on performance that i dont need to be i'd like to know.

Many thanks,
Chris

Synthetic benchmarks are not to be trusted. How has it been handling in real gaming?

Are you going Order or Destruction?

Well i put all the video settings on WoW upto full and the video is running very smooth, previously they were on about 30% and it was juddery so thats good news... Do you not think its something to be concerned with? My processors' Floating Point Operations/Second, Integer Operations/Second and MD5 Hashes Generated/Second have decreased. what does this even mean?

What benchmark Should I have used?

after playing a Pally for the last 2 years im feeling the need for something a deciededly evil so Marauder it is! Possibly a squig herder alt :)

Marauder would have been my choice if my guild would have chose Destruction. I will be playing either a Bright Wizzard or a Shaddow Warrior.

Don't use benchmarks. Actual gaming performance is all that really matters.

It's more or less how much it processes in a given time. Why it would lower beats me.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the ATI/AMD website?
