What wireless router should i buy for comcast

I need to buy a wireless router for Comcast. My son has wired computer he uses for school and like but also for Runescape. I have a laptop that is wireless and right now just going of very weak signals it the area. I wish to buy the right wireless router but not the most expensive. I am on ss disability and money is tight. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
desk top vista laptop xp dont know if that matters.

pretty much any of them on the market should do fine

the "standard" used to be the WRT54G which i believe has been replaced with the WRT54G2 which you can get from bestbuy for about $50....
