I have a DELL Dimension 8400, and I tried to re-install Windows Home Edition but in the middle of Setup, i encountered a message syaing the

"The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupted or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section [SourceDisksFiles] with key "ATI2CQAG.DL_"

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3."

Ive tried EVERYTHING and it comes back to this same screen.....is there anything i can do to bring my CPU back????????

P.S. I used my recovery disc that i made with the program.

Window's setup errors usually occur due to hardware failure. That file is probably not missing or corrupt, but due to a bad memory chip, or a scratch on the CD...dust on the lens...setup is failing.

It may take a while longer since you will have to find drivers for the hardware, but you might try a regular XP CD to see if it will install.
