Hi,

Today I was browsing the web when suddenly McAfee started poping up with messages about suspicious files. I blocked them, but it seems like some things still got infected. McAfee complained about loader.exe and matt.exe...which I placed on the block list when McAfee prompted me. However, loader.exe still got onto my c:\windows\ folder and matt.exe got onto my C:\Documents and Settings\ycko\Local Settings\Temp folder.

I tried to delete loader.exe from c:\windows but it would not let me. After I rebooted, loader.exe was gone but my wall paper became blue and had a message tellling me my system was infected with spyware. There was a link wanting me to purchase some antivirus/spyware software. I was able to delete matt.exe. After the reboot, my task manager was also disabled. When I look in the registry, there was a setting that was disabling task manager. If I try to enable it, something disabled it again.

So what I finally did was use Windows's System Restore to restore my system to the previous day. After that, the blue wallpaper with the spyware infection message went away. My task manager option is enabled now and doesn't automatically get disabled anymore. It seems my system is back to normal. But I'm not sure if System Restore will remove all the infections?? Can you take a look at my HiJackThis log and help me to see if there are any more infections on my system? I see a CML.exe and RecvMessage.exe which looks suspious to me....but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance for your help.
