Update your Video Card drivers?
Is this an Original Version of the game or is it a pirated version?

I don't think your windows has anything to do with it. But...Are you sure that once you reinstalled windows and finished, did you reinstall your graphic card drivers as well?

And to update your drivers find out the model of your VGA Card and then head over to its website and download the correct latest drivers for that model.

Ah okay...Just to see if your drivers may have been installed automatically

Click Start
Click Run
type "dxdiag"
Click OK
Then Click on the display tab and tell me whats there. (Post screenshot if possible)

Also if you know the name of your graphic card please do tell :)
