Nope not really, better drivers for you gfx card might help but your system has finite resources you can't wring any more out by adding software.

Like Scot said, it really depends on what your doing. There isn't a magic pill to improve your performance. Keeping your video drivers updated is a good place to start. Beyond that it becomes a matter of the games your playing. Some of them have tweaks that can be performed while others don't. To better advise you we would need your system specs and a list of games you want to play.

If you have an amd chipset and an ati card then google for 'ati fusion'.
Also defrag your hard drive, go through your system process list and check if there is anything running taking up memory.
