Help with a possible trojan(?)

Hi my name is Mr Chapman, I may have a trojan. I was just minding my own business looking at all my game files (noting I previously had downloaded some mods from a known and trusted mod webiste). Then all the folders stopped responding and were very slow and then my desktop icons and taskbar dissapeared. I can still use the programs I opened before and bring up task manager. I need help!
