Reboot and shutdown

the last couple of times I shut down or reboot it boots then desktop pic shows and I get a box up in the upper left hand corner saying please wait while updating services and I let it sit for about 5 min. then ctrl alt delete and end task and then all my icons come up and seems to work fine. I installed Nero 8 ulta trial before this started. Any thoughts besides uninstalling Nero?? Then when I try to uninstall it it says fatal install error and cant remove it. The program seems to work fine when Iv'e tried it.

did you start having the problem after installing nero...if so go here and get the uninstaller tool to remove it...
or you can try system restore...go back at least a week before you installed nero...
