Unable to set up a WEP password on DLINK

I am running a DLINK router, and I want to set up a WEP password but when I try and set one up, it says it has been done but when i connect my ipod to it, it dosnt ask for a password...
anyone help?

According to Google the iPods don't like using WEP for some reason.
Have you tried changing it in the router to WPA and connecting the iPod using a WPA password?

no but at school they use a Wep password. I'll try it tonight
