Hi, I'm currently having a problem with logging in,

I'm not 100% sure what happend but ill tell you everything that happen before after and meanwhile

First of all, last night i noticed my pc was running pretty slow so i decided to run a deep scan with my VT(AVG) about half an hour into the scan i try and move files around on my desktop while the scan is running. It freezed the scan so it was late and i wanted to go to bed, i then which the computer off by the plugs since my computer was frooze.

The next day i start up as normal then after the windows loading screen comes the windows login, its normally blue but it turned black?

And also the login window was a bit Different, it didnt have a user image or nothing it was slimmer then the normal.
anyway

Once logged in i see the background for about a split second

Logging in -
Loading personal -

Background(for a second)
also, a error window appears faster goes so i cant make out what it says.
something like file could not be loaded

Then
Logging out-

I tryed to start up in safe mode, did this and ran a deep scan with AVG found an amazing 990 threats

But once i finished scan though i would be able to go into normal windows mode without the problem.
it was completely the same.

So here i am now.
please if you can help me it would be muchly needed :)

You need to set your bios to boot from the cdrom drive first. To do this keep hitting the delete key while the computer is booting up. If a blue screen like this pops up your in the bios.

http://images.planet.....OS Screen.jpg

Then use the arrow keys to find the boot order, highlight it with the arrow keys, and hit the enter key to open a new window up. Use the left and right arrow keys to change the first boot device to the cdrom drive, then F10 out of the bios and save your changes. Now the computer should boot to the XP cdrom, and you should be able to do the repair install.
