hi guys, im currently building a brand new computer, and here are the parts,

680i motherboard
intel quad core 2.66ghz
8gb memory ddr2 rams
8800gt video card
1tb hard drive
cd rom

so as i turned on the comp, i noticed there was a message "media test failed, check cables"
i ignored that and went on to install my operate system, which is vista home premium 64 bit
after installation it wouldnt start it said "windows can not configure computer's hardware

and i also noticed clicking noise from the hard drive itself
so what is exactly going here, please help desperately :)
