couple months back I bought a new computer with windows vista. I burned my videos from my old PC which was running XP Pro and went to go view them on the new PC (with vista) and I do not get video. Only sound. I downloaded divx, thinking that was the problem and it is not. Quick time wont play, winamp, WMP all play sound with no video.

Please can anyone help me with this?

Google for 'Vista Codecs' and the first link that comes up will allow you to download Vista Codecs v4.73. If you are using the 64-bit version of Vista, then you will also need to google for 'x64 Components' and download the x64 Components v1.5.2.

Another solution to your problem without having to install the above two pieces of software, is to just get VLC Media Player, which you can download from HERE.

*EDIT* -- Changed the typo in the first sentence to 'first link' instead of 'first like' like it was typed. :)

Well, I installed the codecs and was not able to play it. I downloaded/installed that program and this is the error I got..

"VLC does not support the audio or video format "IV50". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."
