An error occurs when i try to run Windows Media Player, as follows:

C:\Windows\system32\pdh.dll is either not designed to un on
Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using
the original installation media or contact your system administration or
the software vendor for support

And its a very recent problem. I've never had issues with Media Player, nor have i updated anything related to it.
I'm currently running Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

Ideas?

Yes I have. Sorry for the late reply, been busy with Midterms.
I consistently use Windows Update.

Due to how sp1 for vista works, running windows update is not a guarantee that it is installed. Please follow the instructions to verify if it is installed.
