Hello everyone

am really desperate for ur help.....i have windows vista on my laptop and yesterday it was attacked by a trojan so i installed some kinda software that supposedly removed them and then asked me to restart so i did but my windows wouldnt start anymore ...i tried the start help thing to repair the system but it says that it couldnt be repaired ...then i tried to install xp on the other drive just to get the important stuff but the xp setup says that it couldnt find any drives to install on .....is there anyway to repair this vista without using the whole HDD RECOVERY thing ...HDD recovery formats the whole hard and divides it .....

You probably do not need to do a recovery, but you will need to have a Vista DVD ready so you can do a repair install. A repair install only fixes the windows system files that have been corrupted.
