PCMCIA Problems

I have an IBM ThinkPad T20 running Windows 98 SE. I use a D-Link PCMCIA Wireless Card. The laptop has 2 PCMCIA Slots, the card works and installs in both slots, but when I use winipcfg.exe the card shows up in the list of avaliable when in the second slot not the first. The same PCMCIA Drivers are installed for both slots and it was working before when I was running ME, don't ask why I wnet back to 98SE. Any help on trying to understand this problem is wanted.
