Somehow I have the folders task panel pasted on as a sidebar on my desktop and I cannot remove it. I have searched the internet and cannot even find a related topic to solve my problem. HELP!!!!!!! :tazz:

that is kind of neat.....never saw that before.

Try this...Open MY COMPUTER, choose TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS, click
On General TAB, USE WINDOWS CLASSIC FOLDERS, hit APPLY.
On the VIEW tab, hit RESET ALL FOLDERS, hit apply.
Go back to general, hit RESTORE DEFAULTS, then hit OK

fix it?

No, that did not fix it, gerryf. The reset applied to all but toolbars and task panels. My problem involves a task pane. Nice try. Thanks. :tazz:
